I just started a course where our main goal over the 4 months is to design, specification of requirements and a working prototype of a website. Usually I’d attack a problem like this using Adobe’s Illustrator, which is the most effortless design tool in my disposal. But I have been intrigued about Figma as it’s a really popular tool, and I could probably benefit from learning it. Oh and it’s much easier to convince a school project group to jump on a free online tool rather than get the full Adobe Creative Cloud….
Creating a UI kit
Here is a paragraph that describes the benefits of a UI kit, how to create one etc.
The first thing I wanted to learn was how to create a UI kit in Figma. The very first thing I did was adding a color palette to the site. Since I started working on a wireframe, the color scheme is hardly colorful, but you get the gist.
Figma defaults to Roboto, which is cool as it is a font I like to use anyway.
